Park Facilities

The Town of Mount Olive's park facilities (Westbrook & Nelson Street) are available to groups and citizens to reserve for family gatherings, group parties, picnics, meetings, or other events. We do not allow Political, Religious or Fund Raising Activities in the parks. Our Parks are smoke and alcohol free.

Park reservations are on a first-come, first-serve basis and a fee is required. For additional information or to see if a specific date is available, contact Sherry Davis at 919-658-9539 ext. 106. Payment must be received the Thursday before the event. At this time we do not have the capability to accept credit or debit cards. We accept cash, check or money orders. Please make payable to the Town of Mount Olive. If you may make payments in person at 114 East James Street, Mount Olive, NC 28365 or mail to the Town of Mount Olive, Attn: Sherry Davis, P.O. Box 939, Mount Olive, NC 28365.

Park Reservations costs are as follows: 

Less than 50 people:

Mount Olive Address - No Charge

Non-Mount Olive Address - $35.00

More than 50 people:

$50.00 Charge regardless of address

Our Train Depot was renovated in 2008 and provides a perfect meeting spot for residents of all ages, community events and training.  The address is 110 West Main Street, Mount Olive, NC 28365. You must make reservations by contacting Sherry Davis at 919-658-9539 Ext. 1 or via email at: secretary@townofmountolivenc.com. Non-Profit Organizations can use the Train Depot once per month at no cost. There is a liability waiver on our Train Depot tab under community. You must be out of the Train Depot by 11:00 P.M. The same rules as mentioned above also apply to the Train Depot.

Train Depot deposit refund checks will be mailed out the week following the event.

The cost to rent the depot is as follows:

$300.00 Deposit (Refundable if everything checks out after the event)

$200.00 for up to 5 hours (non-refundable) (Unless the event is cancelled prior

due to unforeseen circumstances.)

We also have Daughtry Field for our Youth Baseball and Soccer. The field has two baseball diamonds and a regulation size soccer field. We own the gymnasium at the Carver Cultural Center where we have basketball, pickleball and other activities. Both the gym and Daughtry Field rentals must be approved by the Parks and Recreation Director. No rental can override a Parks and Recreation activity or event.

Fees are as follows:

Carver Cultural Center Gym - $30 per hour - Staff must be present. Director must have a 48-hour notice in order to staff the event. Fee and waiver forms must be turned into the Parks and Recreation Department 48 hours in advance. 

Daughtry Field - $30 per hour.  Fee and waiver must be turned into the Parks and Recreation Department 48 hours in advance.
